These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and StoneFrontier LLC ("Voco", "we", "us") governing your use of the Voco apps and this website (together, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
Pre‑release / beta
Voco is currently offered as a pre‑release (including via Apple TestFlight). It is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, may change or be discontinued, and may contain bugs or incomplete features. Don't rely on it for anything critical.
Who can use Voco
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country) and able to form a binding contract to use the Service.
License
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, non‑exclusive, non‑transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your own use. We reserve all rights not expressly granted.
Acceptable use
Don't misuse the Service. In particular, don't: break the law or infringe others' rights; reverse‑engineer, resell, or abuse the Service; attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to it; or use it to harass others or process others' personal data without a lawful basis.
Bring‑your‑own‑key and third‑party providers
Voco's optional AI review relies on a third‑party AI provider that you connect using your own API key. You are responsible for your key, for complying with that provider's terms, and for any usage costs they charge you. Text you send through that feature goes directly to your chosen provider and is subject to their terms and privacy policy. We are not responsible for third‑party services.
Your content
You keep all rights to the text and recordings you create with Voco ("Your Content"). Because Voco runs on‑device, Your Content stays with you; we don't claim ownership of it. You are responsible for Your Content and for having the right to use it.
Our intellectual property
The Service — including Voco's software, design, branding, and the content on this website (other than Your Content) — is owned by us or our licensors and protected by law. The Voco name and logo are our trademarks; don't use them without permission.
Coaching is guidance, not a guarantee
Voco offers language coaching and suggestions. It can be wrong, and it does not guarantee any particular result, score, or outcome. Use your own judgment.
Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, accuracy, and non‑infringement.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 50.
Termination
You can stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
Changes
We may update these Terms; we'll revise the "last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide reasonable notice where appropriate. Continuing to use the Service after changes means you accept them.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict‑of‑laws rules, and any disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts located in California, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
